This is Kirsten’s Paranormal Experience Census entry. Her event place over twenty years ago in Captain Morgan’s Retreat, Ambergris Caye (an island off the coast of Belize) when she was about 33. When she witnessed this event, her husband was in the room, but he was sleeping. This is very important to her paranormal event. This wound up being the only event she has had that she would consider as paranormal, and the memories have vividly stuck with her for decades.
Here is what Kirsten witnessed:
I woke up in the middle of the night and thought I saw my husband standing by the bathroom. I called out to him 3-4 times. He finally answered, from the other side of the room, in the other bed! I looked over by the bathroom again. The “person” was still there, then was gone, just as quickly.
It was 20 years ago, and I remember it like it was last night.

This is an experience that would surprise anyone. Waking up in the middle of the night and seeing a figure present in the room for multiple seconds only to disappear is reported fairly often. This type of paranormal encounter is often attributed to sleep paralysis, but in this case, Kirsten was not in the throes of sleep paralysis because she was able to call out and for that reason, this paranormal census entry is fascinating.
