Paranormal Census #13 – A Phone Call From Beyond

Paranormal Experience Census entry: a phone call from the dead

This is an entry from our Paranormal Experience Census. We will continue to post census entries to help you explore the unknown through the personal experiences of others. If you would like to see all of the census entries we have published so far, you can click here to see prior census entries.

This particular entry is very special to the founder of Paranormal Study, Tim Woolworth. This event happened to his Aunt L. Tim’s grandmother, Aunt L’s mother, passed away in December 2020. Aunt L used to talk to her mother every day on the phone. The two were very, very close. Since her mother passed, Aunt L has been looking for a sign and wishing that she could speak to her mother on the phone once again just one more time.

Then something happened on Aunt L’s birthday that was remarkable.

We know a lot of our readers have had paranormal experiences, so please feel free to share them via our census form!

Phone Call From The Dead

So I know this is off the chart odd. But this morning I woke up and tried to talk myself into going back to sleep. I rarely get a good night sleep. I said to myself “Now L, if you don’t get up to use the bathroom you won’t be able to sleep.” So okay, I lay back down and after getting comfortable the phone rings 6:18a. I say “Oh shoot, that’s going to wake D (her husband) up.”  I say “Who the heck is calling me,” I thought darn telemarketer.  I’ve had telemarketers call me up until 10:30p at night so why not early. So I quickly thought I have to silence it and then another thought my phone is muted from all sounds. So I reach to silence it and see who’s calling me and it showed Mom. I think my heart stopped a minute. Mom has been on my mind so much lately. I grabbed my phone, searched it, recent calls, calendar, memories, nothing. I said “Thank you Mom, I love you so much and miss you dearly.” After D wakes up I asked if he heard my phone ring and he said “yes.” You never would guess who called me, “no” he said.  MOM, he said “I guess you were on her mind too.”

Working in the paranormal field, we often get to see things affect other families. We observe and document what they experience.

But these events rarely involve the ones that we love – especially when the event in question is exceptionally rare within the paranormal field. Regardless, I am very glad that my Aunt L had this experience, on her birthday no less, as her grief has been palpable since the loss our family experienced.

If you have had a paranormal experience and would like to share it, please take a couple minutes to fill out the survey. It is important to the field to share experiences because it helps us all learn.
