This anonymous submission is a case of a strong feeling that overpowers what one normally would think. In this case, the submitter was quite fortunate that they listened to that strong feeling as it allowed her to see a family member one last time.

I felt a sudden urgent need to visit my grandmother in her retirement home. The feeling was so strong that I kidnapped my mother to come along (she never traveled). My grandmother was in good health. We had a lovely afternoon. As the taxi pulled away, taking mom and I to the airport, I turned and waved at her. Suddenly I knew with absolute certainty that it was the last time I’d see her. A few weeks later she suddenly died from an acute illness. I treasure that memory and am so glad that I went to see her. It was very comforting.

Strong, overpowering feelings have been anecdotal evidence of the paranormal for as long as the paranormal has been studied. These feelings have warned of deaths, accidents, major cultural impacts, and even fortunate changes in one’s life. This form of precognition is fascinating because we can never know what could’ve happened had the intuition not been followed. Have you ever had a feeling like this?
